Need Help, brandnew mobo, constant beeping on shutdown or reset

Just installed g1 assassin 2 with h80 that sounds busted, and 3820 CPU with BIOS idle core temps of 44degrees, something is wrong, I can't boot into windows, it will just bsod at windows logo, like it does when you select achi or raid, well it was raid, but on x58,so I I reset to do a re install, and I get constant beeps and it won't turn off, I have 1 wd black in port 0 6gb on intel, 16gb 1866mhz, another thing when I switch on, the fans come on at full speed and start misbehaving, can someone help before I rip it out, stamp on it and put my old back in, what a waist of money, sounds to me like the mobo as fried something that was working perfect before, oh if I switch on I get 1 beep to indicate everything is fine so is the mobo. broke? Need help

do a minimum hardware setup,just use one stick of ram and one hdd

clear the cmos for 30mins by removing mb battery

I will try that I gave up till later, why does it post fine though, but tells me I need cd/dvd drivers but won't even read the disc or recognize anything when it comes to a re install of windows , I set it to raid because thats what ill be doing in a week or so, I've already unplugged 1 hdd, so ill have to try the your suggestion, i dont get why it only beeps when it tries to shutdown before it starts, if i manually shutdown and switch on its fine .

you might need to delete the old raid array if thats what you were using before and format the drives,then try new install,it could be anything as to why its beeping maybe 16gb is too much atm without tweaking or bios update? idk or could be something else

Im, in with my old os, seems that intel raid option Rom wil not work, i set it to ahci even though I previous installed it as a single raid drive,and it booted, as for the constant beeping, its not hardware, its voltage ithink, after it keeps beeping, I shut down cause it wont shutdown when it happens, i reboot and it says boot failure due to voltage change or ovetclocking, i havnt overclocke, I may have to rma this board.

Look in BIOS and see what qpi/vtt CPU and dram voltages are being used,any newer bios's for that mb? You simply might just need to update the BIOS to stop the beeping?

I'm gonna tidy up the OS, get the drivers in and update the bios, I hope it fixes the raid option Rom cause I'm not keepin the board if it don't work

I'm pretty sure the BIOS contains the raid option Rom,so flashing to newer BIOS should update it,I doubt the boards faulty,just needs updating/tweaking

Ok, I've flashed the latest beta bios,the beeps have stopped,fingers crossed, how to flash backup on a g1 assassin2?, when I've done the backup I will put all my ram and hardware backin

press and hold alt and f12 at gigabyte splash screen,it will flash the back up bios then

The damn thing started beeping again, I think its something to do with the oc button, but when I press it nothing changes? How there's no info on what and how your supposed to use it , same goes for backup BIOS, doesn't say if you have to be switched of or on or anything?I really wish I waited for a different board, I gone off gigabyte since having this board, I can't even use the mouse in BIOS now, so there no point in flashing backup. Does anyone no if the latest official BIOS has full mouse support for bios,also prochot option is missing but clearly shows it in manual.

pc has to be switched off i think,then flick the bios switch and boot up with the back up bios

how many beeps are there? and tried reseating the graphic card?

At least 20 beeps, its something to do with ovetclocking it only happens when restarting in the. bios , and only sometimes, not on every restart I'm thinkin the phases are dodgy and bios update just stops them from cooking

they have fixed all that though,try plugging your mouse/keyboard into other usb ports,could be usb3 thats causing the beeps

are your cpu temps ok? not overheating and shutting down?

Well, at this stage I now think it is the mobo or the cpu, I have no spd ,easytune memory tab greyed out, all other monitors show no spd data, boots fine, 1 beep for succesfull post, soon as I restart it starts rapid beeping,loads of them,shuts down and restart, have to enter BIOS press f10, then boots fine
