I have a socket 939 version ASRock motherboard with a 790GX Northbridge and SB750 Southbridge chipsets. I seen USB XFAST software advertised on the ASRock website. Will this work on the socket 939 cpu / 184 pin DIMM version of this motherboard? The ASRock website lists it under the mobo downloads page, but when I look at the hardware compat list for the software, it does not list the 939A790GMH mobo.. I tried contacting ASRock support but all they send me is a form letter to check the website faq..
Is the XFAST software dependent in any way on the CPU type? (AM2 vs SKT939)
I was hoping to improve the USB stability for my USB attached CETON Tuner and CISCO STA1520 cablecard tuning adapter.
I read in the advertisements that it can improve the USB speeds by 5x.. (Sounds like a good thing..)
Can anyone elaborate on this software and tell me if my socket 939 mobo can use it?
Thx
