Question for hooking up Asrock 970

Im new here so i apologize if this is the wrong forum group to ask the question, but i currently have an Asrock 970 Extreme3 and was curious on compatibility of a Sony Optiarc 24x DVDRW Drive and if they are, what i would need in to hook the two up? Im a bit computer hardware dumb, so any help would be great
