Mutant Windows XP- Losing their identity..

Have tried to use windows update recently and microsoft is thanking me for visiting this page, however it advises me that this page was designed for computer running windows operating system and therefore cannot proceed any further.

so I am sitting looking at the screen and begin to wonder what OS I am running.. wtf..how can windows lose itself and windows update think I am not using windows.

have tried to look on ms knowledge base but cant find anything related to windows update.

anyone have any ideas?

this OS never ceases to amaze me...:)

What browser are you using? Are you behind a firewall or on a proxy server?
