  • USB 3.0 driver for Windows 8 on Asrock Z75 Pro3

    Hi,

Does anybody know when Asrock will give us a Windows 8 driver for USB 3.0 on the Z75 Pro3 ? It`s not on their downloadpage.

    Thanks,

    Wil

Not to worry, you won't need one. Windows 8 has native USB 3.0 drivers that will be automatically installed during its installation. In the case of the add on USB 3.0 chips like the ASMedia, the Microsoft driver is better in my experience.

The Windows 8 USB 3.0 driver also works fine with Intel's USB 3.0 support. I've been using it for a while on a Windows 8 installation, and I find it to be perfectly good.

ASRock does not have a Windows 8 USB 3.0 driver for Intel's USB 3.0 support for my Z77 EX 4 board either.

And IIRC even Intel doesn't list a USB 3.0 driver for Windows 8 available for download.

#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.

#2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.
