  • I can't access bios Gigabyte GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI, Socket-2011

    Hi!

So I've just built my new computer:
    Gigabyte GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI, Socket-2011
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3GB PhysX CUDA
    Kingston SSDNow KC300 480GB OEM
    Seagate Barracuda® 2TB
    Kingston DDR3 HyperX Predator 16GB
    Intel Core i7-3930K Processor
    Corsair AX 760 PSU

But I can't get into bios at all, it looks like my keyboard is working because I can turn on caps lock and it restarts if I press ctrl-alt-delete. But when i try to just press delete/F12/whatever it won't let me in to BIOS/boot menu. I've tried almost all of the USB ports I have but its stuck in the Gigabyte logo screen where it says press delete to BIOS SETUP\Q-FLASH and so on.
I've also tried to change my memory slot and changed PCI-E slot for my GFX card. Do I really need to get a PS2 keyboard or is it something else thats wrong?

Thank you very much in advance.

If you have tried every USB slot then there isnt much else you can do, try one stick of memory. You might want to contact Gigabyte directly.

Same problem here, I just build a new rig, using the same motherboard the X79S-UP5-Wifi from Gigabyte, Corsair 16GB 2400mHZ, Samsung 840Pro 256GB SSD, Geforce GTX 780, Corsair AX1200i. No response at all if I hit F12 or F9 or any F's combination, but when I hit con-alt-del the system will restart but the problem still exists. I've tried to unplug all the peripherals and installed them one by one, still, they system fails to access the boot menu. Please help us.

      Cheers,
      Spy

Did you try to update BIOS, (F4W),
Try older PCI-express (normal) Graphics Card.

As soon as your system powers on, try pressing the Delete key two times per second repeatedly while your system is posting. Don't have the Delete key depressed continuously.

Have you tried using usb 2.0 ports only? Don't use a usb 3.0 port.
Can you borrow an older plain usb keyboard to test with?
Do any of your friends have a usb to PS/2 adapter that you can borrow?
