    IRST driver will not install/uninstall

    Since the IRST driver will not uninstall via the Control Panel, what other way can it be uninstalled/updated?

    Trying to repair the same version always brings up an error from the installer.
    "Error 0x800401F0 while looking up error text. "

    Trying to install a newer driver brings up an error
    "Fatal error during installation"

    Try with CCleaner/Tools or any uninstaller.

      I tried, stasio....but no good. I may just go ahead and reinstall Windows from a disk image from 2 months ago, although I really don't want to.

        Got it! I had an uninstaller program laying around I forgot about. Now I have newer driver installed and Windows boots up like it's supposed to instead of lingering at the login screen.
