Like the title says I recently purchased the AsRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer and have had zero success RAIDing two Crucial SSDs, one is a 128gb M4 and the other is a M500 120gb. The RAID setup guide says that different sizes or manufacturers shouldn't be an issue but that you would loose the larger drives extra which is only 8gb.
Tried with BOTH windows 7 & 8 but with 8 I didn't try doing the BIOS setup to enable the Ultra fast option.
I have the drivers on a USB that was created by both the CD and the BIOS. (Tried both ways; version is same as listed on site)
In the BIOS I have the storage configuration set to RAID.
Boot to RAID ROM (Ctrl+F) and create the array. Everything looks good after created.
Boot to USB with windows installer (Have tried both Windows 7 & 8)
Neither installer will see the array. I load the drivers from the USB stick and everything looks fine but when it goes back to the drives screen it doesn't detect any.
If I delete the array in RAID ROM but leave storage set to raid the installer will see ONE of the crucial drives AFTER I install the drivers from USB.
In the BIOS Under "Boot" it sees the Array and lists it as an option to boot from with the RAID: in front.
Am I missing something?
Also I am missing the "Fan_Tastic Tuning". It is not listed on the F-Stream Tuning Utility, nor is it on the CD or listed on the AsRock website as a download but its clears listed as a feature.
Thanks for anyones help.
