Audio Add Need to stop !!!!!

Part of the reason I have not been coming around very much is because of the auto-starting audio ads. I used to come here while at work, on my phone or tablet. but these ad that just start and start to blah, blah, blah are the worst. If I have to make sure my audio is off just to click on a link here, I won't be here at all much longer.

why not a popup that ask if it can play an audio ad and if I say no push me to a silent one?

I can't bloody stand it... and it's not just here but it's getting to other sites (which I have boycotted)

Isn't there any other way for this site to generate revenue other than pissing off the people that come here in the first place?

Try talking directly to Cameron. I had some pop-ups that kept coming after I put the site on my noscript whitelist, that would constantly remind you about source of revenue, etc. When I contacted him he took care of it. Now I can keep the ads (for their sake) without the annoying reminder pop-up.

I was avoiding the site for same reason,but alas I found a simple cure

go in your web browser add ons and disable shockwave flash object player and no more audio/video ads

drives my freaking nuts. Lack of respect imo and totally ruins the experience. Shoving the poop down my throat isn't going to make me get the product.

The other bonkers was have 1-2 of the same audio ad come up at the same time. mute the first just to have it keep going.... scroll up/down to find it just to try and kill it... go to the next page of the thread... boom... there are 1-2 more.... every freaking page....

... and people wonder why I have the audio off or muted when on the Internet... websites that have these ads.

I can't believe they think these ads work, the more annoying they are the more certain I will ignore it, which is a given anyway.
