  • Unable to connect to built in wireless for Z97E-ITX/ac what is the problem??

I have tried for days to connect to ATT Uverse but unable to. When I put an old USB wifi from Cisco AE2500 it works perfectly fine in Windows 7 64 bit. I installed all drivers for the ieee 802.11a/b/g/ac it supports Dual band. That sucks!!!!!What is the point of having the latest and greatest but it does not work. I almost give up and thinking of RMA this piece of %^*&%

Have you checked Device Manager for the wireless device, to be sure it is working?

Do you need to select the wireless network device, and/or configure it, in the BIOS?

You gave no details about your connection failures, so nothing to go on. Does Windows see your wireless network ID?

there is an option in BIOS of this board where you can disable any connection of the wireless module. Maybe this option is set.

It shows that it is connected and but the icon of the wifi shows an exclamation mark and when I tried to disable, remove it and restart. It shows as connected but there is not internet connection. When I use an old regular usb wifi card. It connects immediately data flows. Which is why I am not sure why it is not working even it is connected. Ideas? If the old usb wifi works I am sure it has something to do with the wirelesss on on this board. It is only 6 days old since today

on this web site:Broadcom Bluetooth 2070/20702 Drivers Version 6.5.1.5500 there is a newer driver version for this wireless module than on the ASRock web site. Maybe it's worth a try.

Is the Bluetooth driver that works with the wireless LAN on this board, required to be installed for it to work correctly?

If you open Windows Network and Sharing center when the wireless LAN is active, does it show it is active?

Don't you need to enter a password the first time you connect a device to your wireless network?

This might be a configuration problem with your router.
