  • ram compatibility confirmation Fatal1ty X99M Killer

Was up guys can anyone help me out, i can't get the Fatal1ty X99M Killer to post
    the BIOS is P1.90

    The memory is
    CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMK64GX4M4A2400C14 (already returned it )

The debug code i get is 60 or b0
i clear CMOS, reinstall the CPU ( Intel i7 5960x ) insert 1 module in each slot and nothing same error code.
when i take all modules out i get code 53 and 3 long beeps meaning ram is not installed.

Going by the compatibility chart this ram kit should work then i took a closer look and the max ram that works in 1 slot slot is only 8gig is that correct or am i reading the list wrong ?
    ASRock > Fatal1ty X99M Killer

so if i'm reading the chart correctly the only memory more then 8 gig a stick that works is
    DDR4 2400 16GB Crucial CT16G4RFD824A.18FA1
    DDR4 2133 32GB Crucial CT32G4RFD4213.36FA1
    DDR4 2133 16GB Samsung M393A2G40DB0-CPB(RDIMM)(ECC)

    Crucial 64GB Kit (16GBx4) DDR4 2133 (PC4-2133) DR x4 288-Pin Server Memory CT4K16G4RFD4213 / CT4C16G4RFD4213 at Amazon.com

it was explained to me that ECC ram will work without a xeon but the ECC feature will be disabled witch is fine i just need this to work.
    can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks

No its not likely to work. The memories will probably not be recognized by the processor. There isnt really anything that says it shouldnt work. But there is a bit in the DIMM SPD information that says if its ECC or not. And since non XEON cpus arent supporting ECC the Bios probably disables it for those processors.

That is exactly my problem. I purchased 16g sticks that meet exactly the specification for the board, so I suppose I need to update the bios.
How can I do it with out RAM?
