IE6 don't show any homepages

I don't now why, but suddenly the Internet Explorer would not show any homepages. I am connected to the internet and can ping the server. But the IE only shows the message, that appears when no page are available.

Is there a way out of it?

I use WindowsXP professional.

Try going to the File menu in IE and making sure Work Offline is unticked.

I have tryed to do a new installation on another drive, and than it works, but I miss all my programs.

Is there a possebilety to delet or change somehing in the registry?
