  • Ok you sleepy heads in here time to wake up! :D

Right now that I have ya attention now I have a question that's needs answerin' on a choice between AMD and Intel. ;)

Hahaha........ I bet that woke ya's up comin' from me of all ppl?

But seriously though pls head on over there and first please fully read what's there, think about it a bit and then come up with some excellent reasons why I should go with Intel instead of AMD (my hearts desired setup). I have about a week to get this worked out and any serious comment will be much appreciated. : peace2:

In return I will read and thoroughly examine all supportin' evidence and ask questions on what I don't know about P4's. :smokin:

    Thanx in advance.

Well I'm surprised that more effort hasn't been forthcomin' from the Intel fraternity here.

        Ok then this is the points tally to date;

        AMD / 17

        Intel / 9

So this is lookin' like a walk in for AMD so far.

Here's something for you to have a look at Wiggo

Here are STILLLIFE's PC Mark scores with his XP2400 @2030MHz on the Asus nForce 2 Board

            CPU Score 6297
            Memory Score 5227
            HDD Score 1128

Here are the scores from my non-OC'd P4 2.4 on the Asus i845PE board

            CPU Score 5851
            Memory Score 6085
            HDD Score 1070

not quite the perfromance disparity i would have expected...especially in the memory scores

I think I understand where you are coming from, but competition drives innovation and pricing --- we don't want anyone going away just yet.
