I have been doing some research and this is how it looks like in Sweden atm:

    2.4 Ghz 800 fsb boxed = $189

    2.6 Ghz 800 fsb boxed = $239

    2.8 Ghz 800 fsb boxed = $289

    3.0 Ghz 800 fsb boxed = $439

I thought they were planning to launch those new cpu's at a higher price than that, not saying that they are cheap but considering you'll get a nice hsf that can manage to take em' to 3 ghz with some oc sure makes them attractive..

I think you already converted the prices into dollars, but how much is it in KRONA (your own currency)

the prices in Turkey are always 18% higher since they are taxed twice, once at customs and once when buying it. The retail shops price the products in this fashion
    P4-C 2.4GHz = 200$ + VAT (18%)
Also all high-end graphics card prices are very high since they are not sold in masses as in US and Europe, therefore stocks are not finished soon enough for the cheaper party to arrive. The 9700pro is still around 400$.
    :thumbs do
    Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop
    p4 1.7GHz, 1GB DDR-Ram, 40GB hdd, DVD-ROM+External DVD-+RW, connected to a BenQ 17"LCD Display (own LCD display went nuts)
