    What stepping 1700 did you have? If it was a good one that would be a bad choice, because that 1700 can whoop the crap out of everything until you get up to the 2800 Bartons...

    yes i have a 1700xp amd athlon t-bred 266fsb if that the one you have in mind . so have anyone solve my proplem with the 2600xp t-bred 266fsb that kepts shutting down my computer when iam gaming ec

    If its an A core its crap, if its a B core it could have a lot of potential.

    An XP1700 T'bred"A" is still a good overclocker (even if not as good as a "B") as around 1.9GHz isn't bad but then ya'd have to have some experience with them to really know all about the differences.
