    Alright,

    Kinda new to OC, Specs that I am working with:

    Athlon XP 2600 Throughbred
    Asus A7V8X
    1024 Meg Kingston PC2700
    GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 256 Meg
    40 Gig WD 7200RPM Drive
    Antec Blue 430 Watt Power Supply
    Upgraded Fans and Heat Sink

    Looking for advice on OC.

    I currently have in clocked to 2.249 but it bluescreens above that... I am a noobie... so any advice is welcome...

    Hey, im 30miles west of Indy :) .

    Exactly what HSF are you using, and what are your CPU temps? Too get a better OC, youll need to up the CPU VCore, but you got to be sure your temps are OK beofre doling so.

    I am holding at 50c... Looking at new heatsink and fan for CPU.
    Mobo is running at 35c.

    Both of these temps are under load...

    I am located at 96th & Keystone...

    What iis your room temp, also what case fans do you have? and where are they located?

    Just order a new fan and looking at cases... Volcano 9 Thermaltake and a antec case or chieftec with 5 fans... that should help heating issues...

    I also am in the process of setting up a RAID 0 config on system so I restored system defaults until I get RAID installed on new install of XP...

    I will look for your advice....

    I have read that CAS latency and spd are not that important with Intel as they are with AMD. Something to do with the way Intel handle data....

    Comments?

    It does matter, but raw speed should take priority over memory timings as it will usually give better performance.
