    THANKS
Well I had a look around and found this place http://radel.inet.net.nz/m810lmr.html#cpu
The mobo is a v7.0 m810lr mobo (writen on the board)
Version 7.0 = Support AMD Athlon XP* 1500+ & 1600+ Palomino (and previous Athlon/Duron CPUs).
so I orded a Duron 1600 and a fan for 35 should be safe there.
Did think of changing the mobo but then I would of had to buy one with Agp on,change me Ram, maybe Psu (i only have 300w ) and a processor 40 dont go that far .

Ok, after supplying more info, I did a little investigation for you. First of all, are you sure there is no agp slot? All of the info I found on that peticular board says it is the exact same as an ecs k7sem v3.0c. I used to use these ecs boards(v1.0 and v3.0c) lots when they were available here(low cost). These boards are what led me to change my policy and refuse to build machines without agp cards(lots of games don't work or work really crappy with the onboard). They work very nice with a r9000pro or a ti4xxx and with the proper bios I have used these ecs boards mostly with old style durons(800, 1000, etc), and xp1800 ,2000, 2100, 2400 etc. They have good fsb adjustments(models without onboard cpu) and oc nicely. I have got a stable 200mhz oc with one of these boards and an xp2400 before(2200mhz total@145x2fsb).
You will need the newest bios version 030808S.rom to use the new durons(1400, 1600, 1800), so you will have to leave the old cpu in place until the new bios is in. If you do not do this, the duron1600 will not work at all!
Ecs does not have this bios on their site, and now I have found it at the pc chips site, I can use it with the ecs boards if needed.

I hope this works out for you. Personally, I would stay away from those new durons as thats just asking for compatability problems with most boards. I would only use older durons up to 1300 and xp up to 2400 or 2600 if one can still be found with 266fsb.
