According to Asus website, the SK8N motherboard takes PC2700 / PC2100/ PC1600 ECC DDRAM. However Computer Gaming World magazine had a Ultimate Gaming Machine article where they compared many pcs, some had the SK8N and PC3200. Is this a tweak or something?

    Yes it can.

Just makes sure it is registered "RE".

I don't even know why you would bother with anything slower, AMD systems are the fastest when run in sync by far.

The base clock on the processor is 200mhz, so you would want 200mhz ram (PC3200).

    Get the Corsair RE 3200.
