    Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering why is the P4 3.0C ghz fan so noisey? It seems to run over 4000rpms and is driving me nuts. Does anyone else have this problem? Or could it be a faulty temperature probe on the fan itself?

And has anyone used a Zalman Fan Mate RPM controller to lower the RPMs? I might get one for a quick cheap solution for now.

    Thanks.

I had same prob with retail fan on my 3.2 m8. It was like sitting next to a vacuum cleaner . Swapped it for a Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu Ultra-Quiet CPU Cooler - runs 10C cooler and amazingly quiet now (92mm fan fitted to it). :D
