    The only way he could o/c it would be with a new board. Considering that the 2.66 is about $260 and the 3.06 is about $325 (both Aus $), and that he would need a new board (at least $120) to o/c it, he wouldn't save a cent- it would cost him more.
    I would have costed a 2.4, but I couldn't find them anymore.

    If he was going to spend that much, he would be better of with a P4 800fsb, or an AMD.

    In that case, if it is made by Intel.....ocing is not an option.

    I just assume chipset when I see 845PE...

    You assume too much and comment out of hand far too often but his mobo was listed in his sig from the 1st post though I'm glad to see that ya finally awake now.
