What is the best processor that will fit in a socket 7 motherboard. It has sapport for 266 or 333 fsb I believe.

It also has 128MB SDRAM and windows 98.

    A K6-2, I think. And your socket 7 motherboard doesn't have support for 266FSB...

I know, that was just an example. There should be a similar Canadian retailer with it available. If not, try eBay.

Well you certainly believe wrong then as Socket 7 mainboards mostly support 66MHzFSB CPU's though some do support 100MHz FSB's but it was mainly Super Socket 7's that had 100MHz FSB support. Another thing also is what the maximum supported multiplier is but knowing what the brand and model (plus any revision number) of the mainboard will help in answer your question.
