    Default Dual Core question

Having never actualy used a dual core system. I have seen ads in the papers that state a dual core CPU, say an X2 @ 2GHz, would have two 2GHz cores. Is this true or is it two 1 GHz cores, like I was thinking? Just need to clarify this for work as I sell them, dont want to support false advertising.

It's two 2GHz cores. Otherwise dual-core would hurt performance a lot.

Thats what I needed to know, thanks.

Do you think in the near future the end user would be able to overclock each core seperately?

No idea. There wouldn't really be that much reason to.
