Definitely go with the CPU Yawgmoth linked to. I had one and it was excellent and easily overclocked to 2.7GHz+.

And to Adionik, no, I am not using a stock heatsink, I run a XP-90 with a 120MM fan on it. Still a tad hotter than I like at full load, 50C. Going to water soon.

¿Porque? My Panaflo M1A handles the 3000 at 2.5GHz at 50c load, but that's with an extremely poor Arctic Silver 5 application that I've been too lazy to fix and literally no case airflow, not to mention ambients in the mid-70s F. I'm suprised a 120mm fan is only getting you those temps at that speed, though I don't see why you'd want a 120mm fan in the first place. Should have gotten an XP-120...

You said it!!! It idles around 30C and I also have a crappy AS5 application at the moment. If I run stock, it idles around 25C and maxxes out around 45C. I mean, 50C is not really too hot, but I want lower temps.

Then just get a better fan and reapply AS5. Watercooling is a really big step to take for something that can easily be done on air.

I have a high flow 92MM fan and it barely does much better. A better 120MM fan might help, but I am tired of the noise. I have put together a decent 1/2" ID water system and have high hopes for keeping the load temps in the 30's and maybe even get the VCore down a little as well.

Is there a diffrence between the 3200+ Vience core and the 3200+ Winchester core? Is the 3200+ Vience basically an fx55 clocked down? As i read the specs i see that everything is the same including volts besides the cache. I hear amd knows the opertrons are very good so they are rasing the prices. If i dont get that im definatly going to get yawgomoth's suggestion cpu. The only think i dont like saying To somebody is that i have a 3200+ when they have a 3700+. It just sounds weaker, u know what i mean?

Venice usually overclocks better, although certain revisions of Winchester are just as good, and often better. It is not an FX55 clocked down in any way, shape or form. They use different cores. It could be described as a 3500 clocked down, though.

    I don't see why you'd get that over a 3000 or 3200, but whatever.

Will the 3200+ even run @ a 3500+? Thats a old cpu right?
