Thumbs up opteron killer deals-$50\$70 off hurry til sold out

    hey guys,
awhile back monarch had sweet -$50/-$75 off coupons on all amd Opteron line chips(there all 1mb l2 cache unlike certain model 512 l2 cache a64 chips).i recently was going to upgrade my raid 0 array with (3) 320 sata2 16mb drives for raid 0(pointless without rid card for same performance i have),then cancelled to order a single 150 raptor-x drive to only cancel again after talking to western digital tech support and the guy said my 2 36 gig raptors are good til 2009 for no questions asked replacement policy(glad to know this).but he also said my 2 drives here would smoke a single raptorx(which i thought it would).so i called monarch today and they said would u like your money back? or would like a nice deal on 1 of our Opteron(single, dual core)deals?i know how fast these chips can move with stock volts on low temps being a 146 here for awhile and sold a box with in it and was very impressed hitting 3gig,selling it locked at 2.7ghz from stock 2.0ghz so i said what do u have and they gave me the following breakdown over the phone(link below).having a single core 3700san diego that has done me soooo right so far but still being single core i grabbed a 165 Opteron with -$70 off coupon:!: i was also thrown in the deal so they would not have to credit anything back to my card overnight shipping being there trucks did not leave yet for the day and said be here tommorow... i agreed.the rep also told me there is a very limited amount per chip this time around unlike before they just ran deals as promos compared to no supply this time around.there is under 1,000 chips left and this is going on this month only and none of the chips will be replaced once there gone to make room for am2:rolleyes: heres the codes for teh chips and btw my 100 percent stock voltage 1.36volts 24\7 3700 san diego smooth 2.72 ghz is for sale(i have fed-ex account).i have the oringinal box in purfect shape and keep in mind this thing always was stock voltage on killer air and now been on my killer water setup.i barely scratched the surface with this chip as temps stayed at under 38c idle-46c load(air).on water 32c idle-41c load.i NEVER took this chip to crazy suicide levels,im a simple man i feel that if i need more of a product which in this case i didnt really but dual core seemed good for me now i still never beat on this chip 1 bit.i would sell for $165 firm(as in dont p\m for lesser price).heres the opty codes.and u guys rok btw

Get yours before they are gone!!

The Dell 24" Widescreen is 1920X1200. LCD's have brighter crisper colors, but CRT's still have better blacks and dark colors. No clear winner, mostly a matter of preference. If you played BF2 on a widescreen you'd never go back to a CRT. The range of view is much greater side to side and ghosting is not an issue with almost all LCD's built in the last 6 months since they all seem to have 8ms or better response times.

Ever tried Farcry across 2 17-19" CRT monitors?

Oh and I have 4(active) CRT monitors in my room, only thing I don't like is the amount of space they take up, other than that I would not go to LCD except if I got bigger than a 20", even then I'd probably want 2.

I disagree. While there are small areas where a CRT will still perform better, the LCD monitors have come a very long way. Not only are they coming out in larger sizes, the digital models have a crisper display that CRT in my own opinion. The comparison is valid as I have a 21" CRT and a 19" digital LCD in the same room. Add to this that LCD monitors are not conducive to eye strain and you have a sure winner.

I've been using LCD displays at home and work for some time now and don't plan on going back. My 21" CRT is on my other machine (Windows Vista/Linux box) and will never again have a place on my main machine.
