    Default Any Clawhammer's out there?

OK, I am a hardware junkie. I simply cannot resist many of the killer deals I get. Right now, I am about to get a FX-55 Clawhammer for $200. Anyone else have any of the S939 Clawhammer CPU's? How well does your clock? Just curious as this is probably my last S939 purchase even, I just cannot resist a $200 FX CPU.

My FX-53 uses the Clawhammer core. Runs great but isn't that hot as far as overclocking goes. Of course, it was also one of the first Clawhammer series processors to hit the market, so that could have improved later on.

I heard of them getting oc'ed to 3 GHz easily.

Well, the person I am getting it from got it to 2.95GHz with crappy watercooling, so I am thinking once I remove the IHS it should get to 3GHz with my good watercooling. Also, they were not the most adept at overclocking as well and were using a terrible motherboard. Even if it doesn't, I like the idea of unlocked multi's considering my ASUS A8R32MVP-Deluxe has issues with high HTT speeds (over 320HTT). Plus I figured for the price I could not really lose.

Very true... FX-55 for $200 is a sweet deal.
