    Question Is E6600 64bit?

    hey,

    is the core duo 2 E6600 64bit?

i expect that it is, its just that i havent read anywhere that it is... unlike AMD who practically shout it as loud as possible.

    Thanks

IIRC all dual core Intel processors are 64-bit.

All it means is that your system will be compatible with 64-bit operating systems like XP-64 and the 64-bit version of Vista. They are also backward compatible with 32-bit OS'. While this may be a good thing in the future, not many programs have been made yet that take advantage of the extra computing power.
