I have a freezone. A friend has an Eliminator. NO PROBLEMS to report. It is a liquid chiller meaning it takes the peltier off the CPU and places a block on, passing chilled liquid through. Idle is 8C. snake oil? hybrid? two new terms for a new product that is a cheap, I tried to build one, and efficient tool. The only addition that I have placed is tubing insulation. You have obviously not tried one. I question your trepidation. y

Really- oc and run it for a few hours. Whats your temps then?

All you have to do is look. Im not knocking you, I was very excited about it at first. The fact is it isnt big enough to do what a real water cooling system can. If you want a quiet machine running at stock temps with little or no load and you have money sitting under your mattress this is perfect for you.

The contents of the CoolIt adds is the subject, the subject I have persued. It was not accepted as spam in the forum you reference above. It seems that the contents are accepted differently, to the extreme. My interest was / is to communicate, share thoughts, on the "subject".

Performance enthusiasts, clockers, attempt to make their machines faster. A controling factor is increased heat. They are generally interested in new components and their placement into their machines. The usual approach to evaluating components is not always a sure thing because what a Graphics Card Manufacturer says about their next product is nothing more than smoke and mirrors until the product becomes available to the end user. When the product is available there is a mad rush to benchmark it, usually to see how fast the reporter can make it run before it gets hotter than is safe for the chips and capacitors. As far as I know all the benchmarks are 2D, written documentation with photos. The Coolit Video Clip that I referred to is what I call a 3D clockers handbook. It has the makings of a Utility, a tool that accepts part change, reports by video the results as per game play, as well as 2D Benchmarks. As far as I know that is a first. It rivited my attention because of it's contents and I can imagine on screen realtime temperatures displayed as an addition. These contents are the subject, a utility/tool.

I have posted this thread in a number of forums. My intention was to communicate on the subject of 3D Clockers Video Handbook. I have been banned form one forum and locked out of the thread in another. Others are receptive and one has provided communication on the subject.

As far as the product goes functionally it may be safe to say that an individuals application will determine the success for that application. I have the product and have ordered the controller w/software. I will not be able to determine my max until the controller is in place. The unit itself provides a platform for modification. My first change is an addition of insulation on the tubing. But I drift off topic... so clock till ya drop and O yea Have a nice day. y

Maybe because this site caters a good deal to enthusiasts and it is a common question? Just a thought.

Often the question is in answer to a request for help or reference. I did not ask for either. Maybe you could explain further? Thank you, y
