    Does anyone know if the abit KX7-333 motherboard is compatible with the Athlon XP 2200+ cpu without a BIOS flash?

    Looks like ya'll need a BIOS update (but I can't find out from their website if one is available yet so you'd have to email them) but you can check this page out, http://www.anandtech.com/cpu/showdoc...i=1635&p=5 :smokin:

    Be careful though: some spec in the T-bred got changed late in the game, and Abit's design for their Socket A boards means having to close some bridges to make the chip actually work. This is providing you have flashed the T-bred BIOS, however. Abit supposedly released a newer version of the KX7 that doesn't have this problem.

    if ur gonna buy a t-bred i suggest u wait a little while until amd gets the core right so it can o/c consistently...and when there's more info about mobos' compatiblities:cheers:

    Yes there's a few new motherboards comin' out with AMD approved support for the T'bred soon. ;)

    yea and to be quite honest until AMD start refining the t-bred core and releasing new steppings i'd stay away from it....although if u don;t plan to o/c then go ahead:bounce: :bounce2: :bounce:
