    hi

    THIS IS MY PC

    i7 920(co/c1)
    GIGABYTE x58-UD3R
    CORSAIR 6G A600 TRIPLE CHANNEL
    COOLER MASTER V10
    GIGABYTE CASE (SUMO) 5115
    GIGABYTE GTX 470
    X-FI TITANUM
    SKYSTAR2

    I AM NEW AT OVERCLOCKING I WANT TO OVERCLOCK IT TO THE BEST I CAN SO I NEED YOUR HELP

    Try these to get you started. I have a DO stepping chip, you will need more vcore and probably more qpi. Google 17 920 overclocking guide. Hope this helps. Also go to the Gigabyte section of this forum, there is tons of info on CO I7 920's.

    it didnt work igot blue screen or high temp
    i am going to replace it with i7 930 how is that?

    Well that's your choice, but the key to overclocking, I found, is patience and learning your chip,MB,MEM combination. I know some of the gurus around here can help. What were your bsod codes, what were your volts, is your qui set right????? From reading I know those chips run hot, but I've seen them OC well.

    930 is not as good as 920, plus you wont be using the extra 22 multiplier anyway. Best to keep the CPU you have.

    Do you need help with settings, I can help? If so please give me the full settings you are trying in a template from my signature and I'll advise back.

    Please also give us a link to your exact memory, and tell us what BIOS version you are using (Check with CPU-z in the Mainboard tab, or by pressing F9 on the MAIN page of the BIOS)
