    Default i7-930 Temps

    Howdy

I thought I would ask the question on the temps of my chip. It is o/c to 3.8 with VC 1.20v. I am also using the Noctua cooler which I carefully tightened the cooler as instructed, equally screwing in till the screws stop.

    Room temps 23c

    On idle core state 44,41,44,39

Running Prime. 72,71,72,67. (max temps hit)

Now why is one core 4-5 cooler than the other three which are on par with each other?

I have applied Arctic silver 5 in the middle of the chip about the size of a rice granule.

i have two intake fans and two out, is this normal for the difference in core temps running at 100% to be 5c less?

Also are the max temps ok?

Maybe the crossfire is adding extra heat?

    Cheers
