    Cool, Lsdmeasap!

    1. And the 920 CPU multi = 20?

    2. Should I hold out for Sandy Bridge processors news, before getting a 950?

    3. Wat do u know about Sandy Bridge processors? (All I've heard is that they will NOT be LGA1366.)

Tanks again for the quick reply, Lsdmeasap!

920 CPU multi is 20 +1 for Turbo

If you are happy enough to hold out for that then you may want to, if not go ahead and buy a 920 instead. Keep in mind these CPU's don't like even multi's, so the 930 would be a waste really, but 950 would be ok as you would use the 23 multi maybe.

They all will overclock to about the same though, so if you don't think you will use more than 21 CPU multi then a 920 is all you need.

On Sandy Bridge I haven't heard anything yet, just the stuff we all read in news posts. I tend to just "Glance" at this kind of stuff, that way I don't get too excited long before anything is available.

I do know that P67 will come out before whatever chipset replaces X58, and yes both of them will be new sockets. P67 will be 1155 pins, and the 1366 replacement will be 2011 pins.

Cool. It will be tough waiting and pricing, pricing and waiting.;)

I read, The Sandy Bridge Preview yesterday. Anything news to you in it, Lsdmeasap?

    Tanks again!

    i guess not.

In the second half of 2011 Intel will replace LGA-1366 with LGA-2011. url
But I don't know how long i can hold out.

Although, if an i7-970 drops in price as much as the 950 I'd be more than just happy.

yh i read the link after i posted, they shouldnt keep switching socket sizes forcing you to change mb AGAIN,obvious marketing ploy, quad channel ram again forcing you to upgrade or hunt for one extra stick hehe,pci-3 would be great though if it comes to fruition

if i were you i would wait untill sandybrige/new sockets are released, even if you dont jump on the bandwagon x58 and i7 chips will drop in price

    yep, i can't see waiting until 4th quarter 2011 for an LGA-2011.

but that quad channel RAM might actually be unbelievable.

i wonder if DDR4 will require that u get a 4 stick kit, in order to run in quad mode?

i dont know if its going to be ddr3 or ddr4,all quad channel is is 4 memory modules like tri channel is 3 and so on,if its quad channel then youll need four sticks to enable it,it might come sooner than q4,tbh i havnt read up on this stuff lately, last time i checked they said it will support 1366 but now its 2011 socket
