Yep, I spent alot of time trying to find the best prices on that stuff. But I mean $1200 for a setup like that, come on gotta love it! :thumb:

Hmm i'm not "bragging" in any way don't say that.
I was just trying to clear out some facts here ok. :)
Sure you WILL save some money going amd +xp2200+.

BUT you will be getting an "older" machine from the start just to save yourself a few. And i'm sure you can buy my machine for less than that i mentioned because i have not checked the price for theese parts for some time, this was just from my head. And i can ensure you that in this country nobody can save 250 $ choosing amd, that is not possible. I'd say here in Sweden the difference is less than 150 $ if you go and hunt down the lowest places to order your stuff from.

And anyway, buying yesterdays rig just to save myself
150$ is just not me, i'm not as stingy as that.

Damn 150$ is not even two nights in the town partying
with your friends... At least not in this little country...

    :)

I'm glad that I don't party with ya then as it would cost me a week's income, or a season's clothing for the kids.

Anyway in a puter like pga1234 how much diff in performance would there be between 2200+ & the 2.53??

    pga1234 nice sys.

I'm glad that I don't go to ya pub either.

I'll stick with my 24cent stubbies thanx. ;)

Unless ya run benches, watch fps readouts or use a stopwatch it's very unlikely that you'll notice any difference at all between them. :)

Never mind, the 2200+ gives you great performance for the $,
a man must choose comp after his needs. No reason to overbuy yourself. My video encoding needs great cpu speed and the fact that i get a great gamingrig in the same is just a great bonus for me.

Next step for me might be a 9700 card. I just have to read and learn some more facts about them first.

ADM's joint venture with China for school pc's ect., should bank roll them for a while.
A nice foot in door for AMD, with China developing its own o/s.
Maybe in the future AMD with a non M$ o/s...... something good to think about :)
