I'm just after the absolute best performance out there, and for the moment Intel has the best performing products available.
But who knows next year there are a good chance amd has taken the lead.

The thing i said about that my 2.26 ghz comp with gf4 performed as good as the 2200+ with radeon card is infact true, at least in the simple 3dmark 2001se. Otherwise tomshardware are lying. Come on man you can't mean that. That site is very well known by most computer people and well trusted to. Why would you not trust them i wonder...
Zuh? Toms hardware is WIDELY known as a sham/fraud/biased hardware site, for example, go post a thread at OCAU (since you will get plenty of replies there) and ask them what they think of toms hardware and you will find that i am right.

The__Tweaker, that $330 is about $650 australian dollars. Thats $650 for 512MB!!! Here for $650 you can get yourself about 1GB of decent brand and still have about $80 to spare, or you could get yourself 768MB of Corsair XMS3200 CL2 and have about $30 to spare. For the performance it offers, PC1066 RDRam is terrible value for money

Yeah that RD-RAM is very expensive. I picked up a 512mb stick of pc-3200 (best supported DDR Ram on the market) for only $180. That's $360 for a gig...
New Sig soon, old one was way outdated.

Considering that i will not need to buy any more mem or replace my mobo for at least a year now the system suits me very well.

or you can save the money to pay rent, bills, buy food, pay for insurance..... I know 250 does not seem like that much money to some....but I see it as alot of money.

Yes $250 is a lot of money in my books. :thumb:

Sorry but paying the extra $'s for "bragging rights" isn't in my books.

Seeing how far ya can crank up and tweak out what ya have is something that I can appreciate better. :devil win
