    Wanna ask you all, well I am upgrading so before I do!!! Got a Question well I do lot of riping Dvd'S well hulf of movie , around 710MB takes me like 11-12H on my system how long will it run on AMD Xp 2000@2200 ?????
    If eny one know'S please tell me thanks!!!!

    ...get 2x256mb of PC3200 - if you can afford it, to take advantage of the dual channel memory support on the 8RDA

    just buy the p4 2.8, its gonna be cheaper than the 2800+ and faster. Besides, who wants a slower fsb and smaller l2 cache?
    P4 2.8 System in the works!

    hes said 2000@2200, never once was 2800 mentioned. And the slower FSB doesnt matter as both the AMD and Intel chips are now using the same RAM. In fact if your talking about FSB speeds of the processor not bound by the RAM, the Athlon is faster with an FSB of 166, whereas the P4 is only 133, the quadrupling is done outside the chip.

    Unless you buy a hyperthreading MoBo and chip, i wouldnt recommend a P4.

    I've got a 2200+ with 256 MB 2700 Ram. It take me two and a half hours for a single pass and around four hours if I do two passes (all this with Gordian Knot)
