    Yo,
My stock heatsink and fan blows (haha). What is the best heat sink and fan for a AMD 2100. I already got two 80mm blue LED fans in there but i'm still running at like 55 degrees celcius, and I want to bring the temp down.
    My rig.....
    AMD 2100
    MSI KT3 ultra 2
    Maxtor 40gig
    Lite-on cd-rw
    256mb Crucial
A CD drive I ripped off an old Compaq
    2 80mm blue LED fans
    hard drive cooler
    and a window

Does the temp drop if ya open the case up while runnin'? :?:

As for a HSF ya can't go past the Volcano 7+ for the best price/performance around. :devil win

The volcano 7+ is the best HSF judging by its price/performance.

The Alpha PAL 8045 performs better, but its more expensive. I have one, and my XP2100+'s temperature is in the low 40's.
It's not important to know all the answers, as long as you know how to contact someone who does.

    I got 2000+ and Volcano7+ and i barely hit 42.
is the 2100+ that much hotter??? or is it the room temp that makes the difference
BTW my room is 22 all the time

I have the xp2100+ and GLACIALTECH Igloo 2400 Pro cooler. Temperature is normally about 46 degrees and after gaming session (few hours) max 50 degrees! :thumb:

The 9's not as good as the 7+ and a lot noisier. ;)

The retail fan is really a POS. :(
