    whats the difference between the two? and which CPU's are are supported with this? just curious..

    The polomino core is what the original AthlonMP was first based on. I'm refering to the 1GHz and the 1.2GHz forms that were first released when Athlon THunderbird was still in use.

    After AthlonXP got released it was based on the polomino core as well as the "new athlonmp's" based on .18Micron Technology

    Thouroughbred is the (was) the new core design for the AthlonXP and I think the AthlonMP (don't hold me to it) as well... Based on .13Micron technology for lower core voltage and heat yielding an overall faster processor and higher clock speeds.
