    hey, i just got a 3 ghz for a friend, and it comes with thermal goop! cool.
    i spent all day making that comp, and its pretty feckin good.
    Here are the specs:
    P4 3.06 Ghz
    2 x 256 mb DDR 3200 Kingmax Ram (In Dual Channel mode of course)
    GIGABYE SINXP 1394 Mobo
    64mb Gf4 MX 440 (He doenst wanna play games - it was $85au)
    40gb WD 8mb buffer
    52x24x52 burner
    16x sony dvd
    floppy

    Good setup except for the Hard drive:rolleyes: Anyway most processors come with thermal "goop" as without it it wouldn't transfer the heat as well.:thumb:

    the guy i built it for, used to have a 1 gig, and never filled it up, so i was just lookin for a cheapie, but still pretty fast.
    did i mention that it came to a grand total of $2496AUD with winxp pro. :thumb:

    That's why we have burners now and 40GB is all I need really but with a total of well over 500GB across my network I certainly don't need more than 40GB in any one PC (though 3 have more). ;)

    I couldnt use any less than my120gb...I do alot of a/v enc oding etc. and when working with videos, you need thwe space
