    Hi guys (and ladies too),
I'm arguing with myself. First would it be worthwhile to upgrade from a 2000+ to a 2400+? Is there a noticable difference? Or should I save my money. But then again I can get a OEM 2500+ Barton Core FSB 333 for $200.00, would any of these be to my advantage? My current 2000+ is doing just fine. I just think I'm needing a hardware fix of some kind.

    Thanks,
    Al

Save your money and overclock that xp2000+! If you have the Thoroughbred model, it should overclock pretty good.

Visually there maybe little noticable difference though benchmarks will show a lot. Whether your mobo (which ya havn't mentioned what it is) will take the other CPU's is another thing.

The 2400+ will be fine but ya may need to flash ya BIOS for the 2500+ (depending on the BIOS version that ya currently usin').

    I would prolly upgrade to something with a 333mhz bus...like a 2500+ and that extra cache. Otherwise i wouldn't.

Dude... save your money for Athlon64. A 2000+ can hold you until September (c'mon, I'm on a 1.4Tbird, gimme a break).
