mosty likely, but your missing one thing....when amd released the 3000+ they mad a buch of changes to how its internals worked....on die cache...heat....processing power....so most certianly you will be paying for more cache and bells and whistles...or It just might be the p4 killer. I have faith in them...because its quality not quantity.....(3060 mhz still can't get decisize victory over 2ghz amd...):thumb:

Newegg.com sells these 3200+ for around $464.00 last time I looked (retail box version). Pretty steep!

Toms hardware did a review on them and I'll incude a link to another post, so this is not spam http://forums.tweaktown.com/showthre...874#post150874

It will be intersting to see how there new CPUs do when coupled with the VIA KT600 and nVidia chipsets for 400 FSB, and some tweaking and overclocking goes on.

Realisticically... a chipset this fast (?) should compare favorably with a slower and overclocked CPU, as a "STRAIGHT" set up. IE No overclock on the 3200+ should by, and in itself, be a performer.

I am waiting for the AMD processors that come out in fall. Those are the clawhammers or whatever. I forget now but those ones seem worth waitin' for. My next upgrade though will more than likely be a Teja in '05 or AMD equivalent. Since I am just a kid it is difficult to raise cash! I intend to construct computers though for money.

Yeah, thats what im waiting for to. It not really worth it for me too upgrade right now, becuase i wont have any scalability options later on. Anyways, WinXP, what CPU Core are u running, Barotn, TBred A/B, or Palmino.
