    i have this card (tried it with 4x vr 300 in raid 0.. iv done many tests.)

    cards is slower on sata than sas hdds. but goes backwards after 250mb/sec is reached)

    serious flaw, when hooking up 4x vr 300.

    see speed tests.

    with onboard x38/48 intel raid 0, max drive get is 440mb/sec..

    Can you please clarify in your review whether this card is a soft-raid or true hardware raid?

    You mentioned that it has no cache, but I would like to know whether the parity calculations are taking place on the card or the cpu - especially since you were reporting fairly high cpu utilisation.

    Can you please review the HP smart array p400 ASAP?
