With Intel now offering a very fast driver that is able to pass along the TRIM command in RAID 0, taking advantage of RAID with a pair of SSDs is now possible without an enterprise class controller card
I think this is a mistake. Intel finally had clarified that the TRIM command now works for a single drive and a RAID-0 rig. In this configuration, the ICH must be set to RAID mode, and so the driver let the trim command pass but only for the single drive.
So TRIM actually doesn't work for drives that are in a RAID array, but work only for SSDs that are out of the array, as "no raid member"
