    I dont know if anyone has said it yet but the card with 2 gpus likes strikenly similar to a voodoo 5500 or the fabled 6000.

    A pic of a Tyan Tachyon G500 RV250 snapped at Computex.

    Notice it only has one GPU, and is very much of 'normal' size.

    Full story here.
    that proof sucks.. they could always make normal rv250 and r250 maxx

    RV250 is a budget card. It's being built to sink GF4MX and SiS Xabre. R300 is the high performance card.

    Why would ATi throw cash into a dual-GPU card that no one would buy (taking R300 instead). It'd just be another Parhelia, overpriced and feature-filled, but not worth buying.

    With the release dates of RV250 and R300 so close together (within a few months I believe), it'd be like nVidia selling the Ti4200 at the same price as the Ti4600.

    whatever.. R200 maxx would be high cost but not that high cost.. gotta remember, you can get a r8500 for $80(US) right now.. add on another 70% and you still have a budget card..

    i think the r250 is going to try and hold off the GF4Ti line more then anything else.. R8500LE like i said can be had for under $100.. it IS a budget card.. not a mainstream card, a budget card..

    you would also think if a R200 MAXX could take on GF4/R300 just fine.. that they would release that instead of spending the money on making a whole new product ..

    R200 Maxx is a possibility.. but not very probable..

    you also have to remember, r300 is supposidly going to be a high end expensive card(like GF4 Ti4600) .. where is mainstream gonna be?

    RV250.. lower clocked ($100)
    R250.. higher clocked ($150)
    R250 Secondary.. 2 GPU ($200)
    R300.. lower clocked ($250)
    R300.. higher clocked ($300)
    R300 Secondary.. 2 GPU ($400+)

    lol.. in my dreams :P

    i do think we'll know something(confirmed) in the next week and a half though

    EDIT: um.. about radeons.. RV = value budget type ****.. 7000/7200 last gen .. that pic couldve been RV250.. the lack of fan on heatsink? then we would have a R250 MAXX(no "V") that could have 2 GPUs.. this card would cost $250 or so, and completely own GF4 until R300 comes around

    wishful thinking.. like i said before, not very probable

    EDIT2: i suck at making myself clear.. lemme try again

    RV250 >= xabre/GF MX
    R250 >= GF4 4200/R8500
    R250 MAXX >= GF4 4400+
    R300 >=*

    all i was trying to say

    Although the companies to watch at the moment are Quantum3D (www.quantum3d.com), 3dfx and NVidia. I'm guessing that the NV30 card will be single chip only from NVidia, but it could potentially be possible to run it in SLI configuration (considering its the first NVidia chip to use 3dfx technology). Why would they bother doing this?

    Well Quantum 3D sells high end graphics boards with upto 8 VSA-100 chips per board (and 512MB memory), with the option of 4 boards working together in 1 system. After the collapse of 3dfx and their takeover by NVidia, Nvidia has carried on producing VSA-100 chips for Quantum3D. However by now Quantum3D must be desperate for a new product to take over their high end.

    Now I'm not saying its going to happen, just trying to get you to think what damage an 8 way NV30 card with 1GB of memory using NVidia's unified drivers (Direct X support, ;)!) could do...

    It's been rumoured that nVidia will use a 450MHz core on .13um for the processing and stuff. Then they'll have another 450MHz core for TT&L, or True Time & Lighting.

    Blank to all, I have read this 3d and I could not in order to see the foto:D Personally I think is a fake then I can myself be mistaken but I do not understand why ATI would have to put in the market a card video with 2 chip 8500 when it is in order to introduce its new R 300.......
