Cool 2 Runcore SSD in ASUS EeePC1000

    Hello!

On last December I've purchased 2 Runcore SSD's and installed them on my ASUS Eee PC 1000.

At first, RCP-I-M7064-C to my D drive and it worked fine.

Second, RCP-I-M5032-C (made for Dell mini9) to my C drive and also worked fine.

but after I had both in my Eee 1000, RCP-I-M7064-C did not show up on my BIOS (it works fine with either one of them alone)...

is there any trick that I can make those 2 SSD drives to work together?

Our product cannot support that feature because of a compatibility issue with the Asus eeePC 1000 main board due to the fact that is does not have a SATA bus. It can be supported in the 901 and 900 because they offer a SATA and PATA bus. But there is a solution for the 10001. Use a cable to connect two SSD's DASP signal. You need solder the wire.I am sorry that it could not be simpler than that and truly hope this helps you achieve your goal. Dr. Yhq

Dear Dr. Yhq, >> Thanks for posting reply.

I kind of knew that I can't use both at same time but I just wanted to reconfirm my theory, by the way if I can only use one of them then wich one do you reccomend for my ASUS Eee1000, RCP-I-M5032-C (made for Dell mini9) for my C drive which I'm currently using or swap that to the original 8 gig and use RCP-I-M7064-C to my D drive and change that D to C drive at BIOS setting?

    I need your expert opinion...

    Thanx!. JBCOBRA

RCP-I-M7064-C because it is larger and because it is way faster. It uses 8 channels vs. 4 like the other drive you have. There is a large market for the 50MM drive. You may get more than you paid for it if you sell it on ebay or mydellmini.com.

Dear Matt, >> Thanks for the advise!

I took your advise and I've removed RCP-I-M5032-C to swap with its original 8 Gig drive and RCP-I-M7064-C is now my new C drive (it feels like faster than before...).
Now my next step is what would I do with RCP-I-M5032-C, sell it on the web like you said or just keep it for backup..., to be ot not to be is whats in my head now...

PS: are you the Matt I see at JKK Mobile SSD forum?

    Thanx Matt
