Default Which SSD for a dell inspiron 1720 (three mini PCIe slots)?

My laptop has three mini PCIe slots. One is populated with a wifi adaptor. The other two slots are free. The manual says they can be used for a few things including readyboost (which I'm not too interested in).

Is there any chance I can put an SSD into one and have it recognised? It would be great to have OS and apps on SSD and leave files to the two hard disks.

    Thanks,
    Alan
