    Default JM-Loader 001 (4GB) issue - Help

Hi, i have a "RunCore 32GB Pro 70mm SATA Mini PCIe Solid State Drive SSD for ASUS EEE PC 900 S101".

which running on a EeePC 900A for a while and working fine.

However couple months ago, the SSD won't boot.
After some inspection, i found that the partition look like corrupted.
I can't format it in PC but successful on the Mac (FAT32).

It works again, i could install windows xp on the EeePC.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Nightmare comes today.

Just like before, the SSD won't boot.
In the BIOS, it shows the HDD is "JM Loader 001"

Using USB cable plugged into my Mac, it shown "JMicron Flash CR Loader Media" - 2GB
I am not brave enough to do anything.

i google it on the internet, i cannot find any solution on this.

    Could you guys kindly help?
I brought this SSD from MDD and i live in Hong Kong.

Could I send this SSD to china for repair?

    Thank you very much

hi, in my opinion, Mac os can't recognize xp FAT32/NTFS .
you have to re-format the ssd before fix it in the different platform.
    just have a try.

I am having the same problem as the original poster. Last night my EeePC 900A was running Win7 without any issues till the system went to sleep. For some reason the system was still trying to go to sleep after a 10 minute wait so I forced the power off. When I tried to reboot, the system couldn't find an OS to boot from. Booted from the Win7 image I installed from and it could not find an OS to repair. I tried to install from scratch and the installer fails at the partitioning step. I tried to install Eeebuntu 3.0 and it failed at the same point (disk partitioning). If I remove the drive from the computer and use the USB interface I get similar results that the original poster gets in any OS I use (MacOSX/Linux/FreeBSD/WinXP/Win7).

The EeePC's BIOS reports the SSD as a "JM Loader 001". I don't think that was how the drive showed up in the BIOS before.

FYI, MacOSX can RW FAT and FAT32 without any problems but NTFS is read-only.

    System Specs
    ----------------
    Model: EeePC 900A
    BIOS version: 1102
    SSD Model: RCP-I-S7032-C (32GB 70mm PCI-E)

Thanks for the reply. Do you know how I can initialize the firmware? I haven't been able to find anything on the Runcore website.

FYI, I have found the re-initialization tool on MyDigitalDiscount.com Product page where I purchased the drive. The program fails. I have posted a support request on that site to see if I can get some help from them as well.

I had the same problem after a power loss.

Fortunately, I fixed the problem with a firmware update/reinstallation.

In my case a Transcend TS32GSSD25S-M.

I downloaded the firmware from Transcend Download Center Welcome to Transcend Website

Made a bootable msdos usb drive and followed the instructions.

My was disk recovered and as new.

    Hope it helps.
