    Default Grounding necessary for SSD?

I am wondering if it is necessary to electrically ground the SSD case to the computer chassis. The way I now have the drives mounted in this desktop tower case, they are not grounded, but electrically isolated from the case. These are the Pro IV SATA II 128 and 256 drives. Thanks.

    Hi Wally,

Idealy the SSD cases should be grounded however if your desktop case is metal and grounded through the power supply you should be OK. (faraday sheild) Make sure your connectors to the drives are good quality and sheilded. I do not know if these drives have the their case grounded through the connection cable.
