Question Drive case not recognized by Windows 7 x64

I just purchased a RunCore Pro IV SATA 1,8" 128G drive and found that the drive case is not recognized by my two Windows 7 x64 machines. I also tried Windows Server 2003 R2 via VMware, but to no avail.

It even doesn't matter what drive is in the case - I tried both the new RunCore and my old 1,8" SSD that ran happily in my laptop for the last year.

Funny thing is, when I put the RunCore into the laptop it is recognized and works as advertised - so the drive is not the issue. It's rather the case that makes the problems la "Unrecognized device" in the Windows device manager.

Is there a driver available for download that supports the case which identifies iself as PCI Vendor ID 13FD, Product ID 1618, Revision 0100?

    Alex

PS: I connected both USB connectors, so power supply isn't the problem.

    Hello, agross

Both the new RunCore SSD and your old drive can't be recognized by the RunCore provided USB to SATA adapter. But when installed in you laptop, they both can work well.

It prove that the problem is the USB to SATA adapter. You can contact reseller for replace a adapter.
But you need tell us which country you are, we'll contact the local reseller first.

    Dear RunCore Tech Support,

I live in Germany and bought the drive from MemoryC (MemoryC.com - computer memory laptop memory and flash memory supplier) in Ireland (both in the EU). How and why exactly are you going to contact the reseller?
