#6 Any new bugs or observations to report
freeze always at the same step, the older FW was more unpredicable
partitionning is OK but format is KO
XP and Vista are totaly OK[/QUOTE]

    format your ssd step:

Step 1: Connect the SSD to your laptop via USB case. Create and format a primary partition as NTFS file system in disk management. The primary partition for Windows 7 installation will be better if it is larger than 20GB.
Step 2: Install the RunCore SSD to your laptop
Step 3: When entering into the following installation interface, select the disk for Win 7, donít format it again. Then click the next button.
Step 4:It will completely finish installation.
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Not only randomly. TRIM locks up the drive EACH TIME!

Runcore, there's a problem with GC, please advise!
I don't think it's releate to the GC function.I suggest you contact support@runcore.com. You can describe your detail.May be there are the other way for you.

For SATA driver, if you are running in AHCI mode, pls change to IDE mode in BIOS.

Did that do you really think we are all thick ?

If you would read what was writen !

If I had not switched to IDE mode then your Upgrader would have reported no drive found..

And with respect to your suggestion to use a Desktop... I dont remember that being a "Needed" item, when we parted with our hard earned cash !

So many of us have only Laptops/Netbooks... and some of them dont even allow the user to switch to IDE... I think its time for you guys to get real and provide us with a fix.. or our money back !!

oh and by the way my desktop is an iMAC

    Your move ....

    Peopels

I have been the unhappy owner of on of the original RunCore DRives since last JUne... I have tried everything here and still cant get it to work..

I have been using the drive via a PATA/SATA Adaptor in my HP2510p so till now I have not seen many of the issues, like others here I have FWV0.1.. My Hp2510 has died so I want to use it in the replacment ... but win7 gives blue screens and freezes...

Now i find that so many people are having this issue here and the only way to fix 100% is to upgrade to 1916... but I cant..

After reading this thread I feel that runcore or should i call them runflat.. dont seem to care about fixing the issue..

I think the only way to push them into doing something is to either open a "we love Runcore" web page and make sure we all register or issues there and make sure that Gizmodo or Engadget and Tomshardware also join the site... as I am sure that we should all make sure that no one else buy's these product's without understanding the whole story ???

    your thoughts....

    Agreed.

I did finally solve all of my RunCore drive issues though. Three little letters: "R.M.A."

Sad when the best thing you can say about such a promising product is that their reseller has a great return policy...
