    KDE.ORG just released a second round RC1 of KDE 3.0 desktop environment. The translucent menu's are great, nice new features

      That does make a sweet desktop for sure!
      The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.

          Any idea when mainstream distros will start coming with KDE3?
          (Me and my poor 56k modem cant cope with big downloads :()

            I think you'll have to wait at least three months untill you see a distro with QT/KDE 3. But I'd be willing to make a cd for you once the final is released and I've downloaded and installed it.

                    KDE is a great Desktop Manager. It is easy to use, and has come along way since its introduction. I use it on my Linux Machine that runs Mandrake 8.1 and it runs wonderful.

                    For those of you that dont like KDE, try some others like Gnome or WindowManager.

                        Ah yes, thats all good and well, but it fails miserably in the areas that count.

                        For starters, I dont see the kernel gettin up to make me a coffee.
