  • Z68 Fatal1ty with Mushkin 2133 RAM errors

I have been using 16GB (four 4GB sticks) of the Mushkin 996997 (2x4GB) memory since I purchased it from Newegg on 10/12/2011, along with the ASRock Z68 Fatality Gen 3. I have used it at the 2133Mhz speed over this time, but in the past two months I've been having issues with Windows 7 crashing. I have run the MemTest86 program, and it shows there are errors with the Mushkin Memory, which would be causing the problems and crashing within Windows.

I have started to lower the memory speed, and ended up at 1600 without any MemTest86 errors.

I contacted Mushkin about warranty RMA, and they said the the DDR3 Redline is EOL. And that the closest memory they could replace my 16GB (two 2x4GB) 996997 would be with the Blackline 997164F 2x4GB or the 997124F 2x8GB.
What I'd like to know is what are my best options between those, or ask for a different Mushkin model.

Mushkin replaced the RAM under warranty. Since the 2133MHz Redline is discontinued, they sent the 2400Mhz Black model 997123F (2x8GB).
I've tested it out the past few weeks, and works fine at 2400Mhz set in the BIOS. But I have to use the RAM Slot A2 + B2 (Black). If I put them in A1 + B1 (Red) the system will not Boot/Post.
